About Us

Martin Porter

With over 30 years’ experience in education I believe that positive cross-cultural interaction, particularly through the sphere of education has far reaching effects for the betterment of the planet as a whole. I started MKT Education Support Services to provide a reliable, rewarding, cost effective way to allow as many students as possible to experience the benefits of international exchange.

My experience began as a high school teacher, and then as an English language teacher, working and travelling around the globe, including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and China as well as South America and Europe. I wanted to share my desire for interacting with people from around the globe while showcasing my home country and offering first class education services.

Other previous positions I've held include overseeing and delivering English as a Second Language programs and tertiary enabling studies at Charles Darwin University and at private English language schools in South East Queensland. More recently, I worked as a group leader for study tour groups at the University of Queensland, coordinating professional tours and educational experiences as diverse as Chinese Judicial delegations, Sports Authority of Thailand Administrators, and Japanese Dolphin Training students.

25 years experience with the University of Queensland managing international inbound study tour groups. Client groups included University, College, Industry and Government groups. Subject areas covered ranging across Education and Social sciences , Health and Sports Business and economics sciences, Agriculture and veterinary sciences, vocational education

Tatiana Porter

Commencing working in education as an English teacher in Australia then spending 5 years overseas teaching English as a second language. Upon returning to Australia she was the inaugural manager of Queensland International College. She then moved to Sydney and as a senior teacher delivered university preparation courses covering both academic and cultural requirements for a smooth transition to students intending to pursue tertiary education in Australia . This was followed by a role as Academic Director at a private international school in Perth., and then as the Centre Manager of the English Centre at Charles Darwin University. In these roles she was responsible for overseeing academic programs , student welfare including accommodation and safety, designing study programs for professionals, ensuring visa holders were aware of their visa obligations, and supporting students and staff.
